GUWAHATI, April 1 - The North East Masters Athletic Championship was held under the Masters Athletics Federation of India (Northeast) at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai here from March 24 to 28.
Altogether 1100 athletes from all the Northeastern states took part in 18 events during the meet. The championship was inaugurated by the Director of Sports, Assam Dharma Kanta Mili in presence of president, Master Athletic Federation of India Dr Dharamvir Dhillon.
Assam veterans claimed top spot in the five-day meet, stated a release.
