GUWAHATI, Dec 9 - In the ongoing Big Bout Indian Boxing in New Delhi, NE Rhinos, the team from Northeast is doing well.
In the first encounter, the NE Rhinos defeated Bengaluru Brawlers but went down to Gujarat Giants. On December 12, the NE team will fight against Odisha Warriors.
In the maiden edition of the championship, recognised by the Boxing Federation of India, teams like Odisha Warriors, Punjab Panthers, Gujarat Giants, Bombay Bullets, Bengaluru Brawlers, NE Rhinos are participating. Apart from leading boxers of the country, some noted pugilists from different countries are also in action in the championship.
Sanjive Narain, CMD of Prag News is the owner of the NE team while Zubeen Garg is the brand ambassador. Front line boxer of India Nikhat Zareen is the captain of the team.
Addressing a press conference Narain said they will set up a boxing academy here very shortly.
