NEW DELHI, Nov 29 � Demonstrators hailing from the northeastern region today urged Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to order strict action against culprits involved in the recent incident of rape, besides financial compensation and government job for the victim.
Describing the incidents of harassment of girls and women as �sexual terrorism�, the protesters belonging to Delhi Mizo Students� Association, Mizo Welfare Association and Mizo Christian Fellowship, Delhi alleged that the country has been brought to shame by this heinous sexual violence against women in the national capital.
A 30-year-old woman was picked up by five men from Dhaula Kuan and gangraped after forcing her into a tempo. The Delhi Police has released stretches of two suspects, while one was picked up from neighbouring Haryana.
