GUWAHATI, July 20 - The Department of Mass Media, St Anthony�s College, Shillong, held the North-East India Archive Summit on the college premises on July 19 and 20. The summit was a forerunner to the launch of the first ever North East India Audio-Visual Archive, slated in October, a press release received here stated.
The archive is being supported by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation of Japan, and the department will also collaborate with the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, Japan, which will share its expertise and aid in the collection of North-East Indian documentary films.
