NE history body meet

GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - The 38th session of the North East India History Association (NEIHA) will be held with a four-day programme at the Dakshin Kamrup Girls� College, Mirza, from October 2 next.

According to a press release issued by the organisers of the session, Governor Banwarilal Purohit will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the session. The last session of the Association was held at the Sikkim Government College in November, 2016.

The NEIHA was established in 1979 and its first president was renowned historian Prof HK Barpujari. At present it has over 1,000 life members. Even scholars from foreign countries have shown an interest in getting associated with the Association, added the press release.
