GUWAHATI, June 12 - The first edition of the Northeast Futsal League will be held from August 25 to September 4 at the Karambir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi, Indoor Stadium, Sarusajai here.
The mixed gender championship will be conducted by Proclivity Sports and Recreation Pvt Ltd where teams from Arunachal Pradesh (Arunachal Highlanders), Assam (Assam Titans), Manipur (Manipur Play5), Meghalaya (Meghalaya Thunders), Mizoram (Mizo Falcons), Nagaland (Nagaland Super5) will vie for the title.
Professional futsal players, both men and women, from across the globe will come down for the event which will be played on maple wood flooring. A purse of Rs 5,00,000 is at stake as prize-money in the championship, a release said.
