GUWAHATI, June 10 - The second edition of�the North East Foodtech-2019 is coming up again in Guwahati, and this time in a much bigger way. The exhibition will focus on food processing, bakery and confectionery, dairy, hospitality, sweet and snacks and catering industry.
The fair is scheduled from June 13 to 16 at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre.
The organiser of India�s flagship exhibition, �Foodtech India�, in association with the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Assam is presenting this platform to the people of the North East to explore the potential of startup business in the food and hospitality sector once again.
The four-day exhibition will showcase the food processing machinery, bakery and confectionery equipment, food packaging machinery, bakery and confectionery accessories, food display counter, beverage processing equipment, commercial kitchen and refrigeration system, tableware, food industry IT products, food additives and ingredients, commercial chocolates, food packaging materials, sweet and snacks making machinery, food flavour and colours, dairy technology and many more.
More than 90 companies from all over India will display their products in this exhibition. Live demo, products knowledge, technical know-how, etc., will be provided to the visitors.
In the first edition, trade visitors from the neighbouring states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and West Bengal turned up to explore the opportunity. More people are expected to visit this time again.�
The students who are doing their hospitality management and food technology courses will get ample scope of interacting with the industry veterans for future career benefits, said the chief convener of the show, Zakir Hossain.
