WILLIAMNAGAR, May 10 - The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), East Garo Hills, in collaboration with the 1st Battalion of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Guwahati, will be holding community awareness programme on basic life support, first aid, search and rescue, evacuation, fire demonstration, etc., from May 13 to May 18, a press release said.
The awareness programme will be organised in Williamnagar at Mt Penuel Secondary School and Ferrando Memorial Secondary School for teachers, students and staff and the main market place for the merchants, traders, hawkers, etc.
The programme will also be organised at all the C&RD Block headquarters, the release added.
