NDRF offers dignity kits for COVID-19 patients

GUWAHATI, May 26 - The 1st Battalion of NDRF, Guwahati today handed over 400 dignity kits to the Kamrup (Metro) district administration for distribution among COVID-19 positive persons kept in isolation.

Anil Kumar Chauhan, Deputy Commandant of the NDRF gave away the dignity kits to the district authorities.

A standard kit for women packed in a plastic bucket contains a small toothpaste, brush, bathing and washing soaps, two pairs of undergarments, a towel, oil, comb, two pairs of �salwar suits� in different sizes, a nail cutter, mirror, a packet with 10 sanitary pads, an antiseptic cream and a mug.

The men�s kit also contains similar items and has two pairs of �pyjama-kurta� instead of women�s attire, and a shaving pack instead of women�s hygiene products. Earlier also, the battalion had given away 600 such kits for men and women in Kamrup (Metro) district.
