GUWAHATI, Jan 20 - SS Guleria, Deputy Inspector General (East and North East), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reviewed the disaster preparedness in Assam during his visit to the State recently.
In a press statement issued by the NDRF here, the DIG, who was on a three-day visit to the State, interacted with the officers and personnel of 1st NDRF and called upon them to always rise to the occasion at the time of natural disaster.
The DIG visited the unit hospital and distributed fruits among the patients. He also witnessed a demonstration on multiple casualty incident due to earthquake in mountain areas.
