NEW DELHI, Aug 2 The pro-talk faction of the NDFB has knocked on main opposition BJPs door to press the Centre to expedite the ongoing political dialogue.

A three-member delegation of the NDFB (Pro-talk) faction led by its chairman, B Sunthagra and publicity secretary, S Sanjarang accompanied by BJP Lok Sabha MP Ramen Deka called on Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha), Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday to urge her to prevail upon the Centre to expedite the peace process.

The spokesman of the militant outfit told this newspaper that they have requested the Opposition leader to raise the issue in the Parliament. The NDFB (P) delegation is also planning to meet Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram.

The outfit is demanding creation of a separate State of Bodoland. The NDFB (P) has already submitted its charter of demands including a map of Bodoland proposed to be curved out of Assam. The group had also met the Centres interlocutor, P C Haldar and other officials of the Home Ministry. The ceasefire with the Bodo militant outfit was extended on June 1 for another six months.
