NBSE declares HSLC, HSSLC results

DIMAPUR, May 3 - The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has declared the results of the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2016, today. While the pass percentage in HSLC exam was 65.42%, it was 72.10% in HSSLC Arts stream, 73.80% in Commerce stream and 82.46% in Science stream.

Madhu Kumari Giri from SD Jain Higher Secondary School (Dimapur) topped the exam with an aggregate percentage of 96.83%.

In the HSLC results declared today, NBSE Chairman Asano Sekhose said out of 22,970 students enrolled for the HSLC exam, 15,027 qualified with an aggregate pass percentage of 65.42%.

In the HSSLC examination, Kikali Achumi of St John Higher Secondary Residential School (Dimapur) topped the Arts stream, Gulabsa Khatun of Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (Dimapur) topped the Commerce stream and in Science stream Mestivilie Seyie of Kohima Science College Jotsoma secured the top position.

The toppers of the three streams got the Governor�s Award of Rs 25,000 each and Manik Bhattacharjee Award of Rs 10,000, a memento and a citation. HSLC examination topper Madhu Kumari Giri will be honoured with the NBSE Award, Governor�s Award, Madras Telegu Academy and Manik Bhattacharjee Award for her excellent performance.
