NBCC asks voters to be wary of parties with communal agenda

By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Feb 15 - Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has advised the electorate of the State to be wary of any political party with communal agendas.

It would be unfortunate for the church and the people to be voting for a party with communal agendas, NBCC general secretary Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho said while addressing a press conference on the first day of the three-day 21st NBCC triennial conference at Impur in Mokokchung district recently.

He also asserted that NBCC as an organisation will stand against any party toeing the communal line or suppressing the rights of other fellow-beings in a secular country like India.

Speaking on Clean Election Campaign initiated by NBCC, Rev Keyho said it is a moral movement to revive Christian values and principles in the democratic process of the State while clarifying that the church is not playing politics through the CEC.
