GUWAHATI, Jan 23 � Navajyoti Club handed a 116-run drubbing to Kolkata team SMCC in today�s match of the 12th Bud Challenge Cricket Meet in memory of Jugal Kishore Newatia. In a group league match of the championship at the Nehru Stadium here, riding on Parag Das� 57-ball 71, Navajyoti Club amassed 208 all out in 39.4 overs. Nishanta Bordoloi hit 56 as Abhimanyu Yadav took four wickets for the visiting team.
The Kolkata team batsmen were in trouble from the initial stage and finally were all out for a paltry 92 in 31 overs. Spinner Bikash Chetri ripped through the SMCC batting line-up with a five-wicket haul.
