�Nat�l body for youth need of hour�

GUWAHATI, Dec 24 - Yuva Chetna, a Delhi-based organization engaged in youth welfare, has called for setting up of a National Commission for Youth in Delhi and also in the states. National convenor of the organization, Rohit Kumar Singh, who was in the city in connection with a nationwide awareness drive on its four-point agenda, said that a National Commisison for Youth in the lines of commissions for children and women was a urgent need.

He said that it was necessary in a country where youths formed over 60 per cent of the total population. Other demands of the organisation included unemployment allowances for youths in the country, joint control of employment exchanges by both the Centre and the State governments for facilitating nationwide info on jobs, and setting up of a National Youth Development Council for developing entrepreneurship among youths.
