Guwahati, Jan 1: In what could be termed as a relief for restaurants, eateries and tea stalls, the price of commercial LPG cylinder cost has been slashed by Rs 102.50 effective from January 1, 2022, according to media reports.

The National Oil Marketing companies have reduced the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. According to reports, the LPG will cost Rs 1998.50 in Delhi from today onwards after a reduction of Rs 100.

The national capital had to procure a commercial LPG cylinder at around Rs 2,101 which is the second-highest rate of 19 kg commercial cylinder after 2012-13 when it cost around ₹2,200 per cylinder.

In Kolkata, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders will now cost Rs 2024.50, while in Mumbai they will now be priced at Rs 1948.50. The price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Chennai will cost Rs 2,131.

In Guwahati, a commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 2,131.

However, it needs to be mentioned here the price of domestic cylinders remains the same and there has been no reduction in its prices.

Reports further stated, domestic cylinders weighing 14.2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg composite or 5 kg composite cylinders and their prices remain the same.
