Guwahati, May 4: The 49th annual general meeting of the country women's association was recently held online on April 27, 2022.
The meeting was presided over by National President Dr. Keerthi Bollineni of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and it was hosted by National Secretary Dr. Deepali Dutta of the Kolkata Headquarters.
The meeting was initiated with the flag hoisting ceremony followed by paying homage to the Founder President Late Arati Dutta, one-minute silent prayer for the COVID-19 victims and the deceased members of the association.
After the presentation of the National Secretary report by Dr. Deepali Dutta, the reports from the other units were also read out by Jt. Secretary Meenakshi Banerjee in the presence of presidents, secretaries and members of all the units such as West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, etc.
The new Panjabari Unit was approved by the committee and Manjula Bhattacharyya of Guwahati was appointed as the president of the unit.
Dr. Bollineni later presented a working plan for the upcoming three years for the members of the association.
The vote of thanks was given by National Working President Sabitri Bordoloi. In the meeting, the ex-National President Dr. Shahnaz Ahmed, National Vice President (East), Kabita Rajguru, National Coordinator (East), Purnima Phukan, Mallika Saikia from Assam and other board members and members of different units across India had an interaction and shared their opinions. The meeting ended with the National Anthem.
