National Unity Day celebration in Silchar

SILCHAR, Oct 30 - As a part of the National Unity Day, the offices of Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) Guwahati and Field Outreach Bureau (FOB) have organised a three exhibition on the life and works of India's Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Saswati Bhattacharjee, Assistant Director, FOB informed that the exhibition will be inaugurated by Deputy Speaker Aminul Haque Laskar. Thirty images of the activities of Patel have been put up for people so that they come and learn about his works.

�We are organising the exhibition on Sardar Vallabbhai Patel so that people must come and learn about the myriad of works the great man has done for the country. The students can gain a lot of information as well. Also, there would be a digital quiz, cultural items by the song and drama troupes as well."

She informed that the exhibition at Ayushman Hall in Shibalik Park will be open for visitors from 11 am to 6 pm for the next three days.

Meanwhile, Dy Director of ROB, Pallab Chakraborty expressed his happiness over the initiative. He said that a replica of Patel�s statue is being made in Tezpur and the occasion is being celebrated there with great spirit as well.
