NAGAON, Jan 5 - The 6th National Sub Junior Girls Hockey started at the Nurul Amin Stadium here today which was formally inaugurated by Minister Rockybul Hussain. Arjuna Awardee and former captain of Indian Hockey team Jasjit Kour, Nagaon SP Arabinda Kolita and Tournament Director Sahin Mahammad Khan were felicitated in the inaugural function. Today three matches were played.
In pool C, match played between The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd and Hockey Madhya Pradesh ended in a draw. Vaishnavi Rane and Renu Pai scored one goal each for both the teams.
In a pool B, match Assam Hockey beat Hockey Gujarat by 4-2. For Assam A Kazur netted two goals, Boby Kormokar and M Das netted one goal each.
Puja Rout and S Narana scored one goal each for Gujarat.
In another match of Pool A, Citizen Hockey beat Mumbai School Sports Association by a solitary goal netted by Namoni Parikh.
