NAGAON, Jan 6 - Mizoram drubbed Assam 5-0 while Bengal outclassed Citizen Hockey XI 3-0 in the two matches of the 6th National Sub Junior Women Hockey Championship at the Nurul Amin Stadium here today.
In a Pool B match, defending champions Mizoram were in full cry with total control over the match. Spectators enjoyed the superb stick works of the Mizoram girls. On the other hand Assam players today failed to establish their presence in the field and failed to maintain proper direction while forwarding the ball.
For Mizoram Lal Nunsangi netted two goals in the 54th and 58th minutes respectively while the other goals were scored by Lal Rambeiseii (17th minute), Lal Remsiami (48th minute) and F Lalawmpuii (59th minute).
In a Pool A match, Sathi Dalvi netted two goals in 15th and 65th minutes respectively for Bengal after Sabana Khatoon opened the account in the 5th minute.
