National seminar on Premchand

GUWAHATI, June 1 � A one-day national seminar in Hindi has been organised jointly by the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Guwahati and Shabda Bharati here on June 14. The theme of the seminar is �Hundred years of Premchand Literature....�

Besides Dr Ram Parihar (Madhya Pradesh) an exponent of Premchand, other dignitaries, Professor Hemraj Meena of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Dr Arun Hota, West Bengal University, Barasat will be present in the programme.

Academicians and professors from different universities from the northeast will be the resource persons of the seminar.

The seminar, to be held at ETDC Conference Hall in Housefed Complex, Dispur, will have two sessions with 15 different sub-topics for discourse on the theme. Interested persons, including professors, teachers, researchers, writers and students may send their articles in two copies by June 7.

The PG translation diploma will also be awarded to the successful students of the 2013-14 batch, the Shabda Bharati stated in a press release here today.
