National seminar on hospitality, tourism

GUWAHATI, June 21 - A one-day national seminar on �The Scope of Hospitality & Tourism: International, Domestic and Strategies for Future Business (Post COVID-19 Scenario)� was successfully organised at Assam Down Town University under its Faculty of Commerce, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, on Sunday, stated a press release issued here today.

The seminar looked into many issues encompassing the scope of the greater tourism and hospitality fraternity and its related industries and domains.

The seminar also highlighted the sustainable development of factual roles and goals, the challenges and resilience, the strategies for future business, implementation of new global policy responses and their overall impact on the tourism and hospitality sector.

Delivering his lecture, chief guest Suneel Rawat, general manager, business development at Clarks Inn Group of Hotels, deliberated upon the recent COVID-19 pandemic that is causing global disruption and disturbance worldwide.

He suggested new and meticulous planning for the survival, existence, sustenance and resuscitation of the country�s tourism industry.

Few other renowned speakers from the tourism and hospitality industry also spoke in the seminar, added the release.
