GUWAHATI, Sept 6 - The Department of Shalya Tantra of Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital here is organising a national conference �Relevance of the concept of Sushruta in the modern era of surgical practice� from September 13 to 15.
The event, being organised in association with the National Sushruta Association, India, will also include a pre-conference workshop on surgical and parasurgical procedures.
�We are organising a live operation workshop on the first day followed by scientific sessions for another two days. The idea behind the conference is for the invited distinguished dignitaries to exchange new ideas, application of experiences face to face and build up academic relationships as well as research ties,� the organisers said.
The conference will focus on the growing research works in the field of Shalya Tantra and the modern surgical methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of surgical diseases from its associated complications.
A team of highly qualified faculties and experts in surgery will discuss practical issues during the conference.
