GUWAHATI, March 11 - A national painting workshop organised by Kala Academy Foundation in collaboration with the North Central Zone Cultural Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, at Arundhati Art Gallery, Rajgarh here from March 4, concluded on Sunday, a press release issued here today stated.
Eleven artists from the north-eastern region took part in the workshop that was based on the colourful culture of the North East.
The workshop was inaugurated on March 4 by Prag News editor in chief Ajit Kumar Bhuyan as the chief guest. Dr Shyamal Prasad Saikia, DIG, was the guest of honour.
In the concluding function held on Sunday, Madhurima Barua Sen, secretary, Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society, and secretary, Department of Culture, Government of Assam, presented the certificates to the participating artists.
