SILCHAR, April 21 - On the basis of their 10-over score, Narshing HS School edged past Government Boys HS School in the final match to lift the Bishnu Pada Gupta Memorial Under-13 Inter School T20 Tournament. The final match had to be decided on the basis of 10-over scores owing to heavy rain.
Sent in to bat, Government Boys HS School posted 80 runs losing six wickets in their stipulated 20 overs. Javed Hussain Laskar scored 16 runs with three boundaries and skipper Sahid Ahmed chipped in with 11 runs off eight balls.
In reply, Narshing HS School had scored 58 for the loss of five wickets in 15.2 overs when thundershowers interrupted play. Mohitosh Baishnab was the top scorer for the team with 18 runs off 37 balls.
