Narrow escape for CRPF sepoy at Pulwama, wife seeks revenge

By Staff Correspondent

SILCHAR, Feb 21 - Even as her husband had a close shave in the dastardly terror attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad in Kashmir's Pulwama on February 14, Suparna Das, wife of Bablu Das (40), a sepoy in the Central Reserve Force (CRPF) from Budhurail in Silchar, wants India to take revenge as a mark of proper tribute to the soldiers martyred the incident.

When I saw the developments on television, I could not believe. I tried calling at his number but he was not reachable and that heightened my worries. However, hearing his voice, I had a sigh of relief. He told me that he was supposed to be on the ill-fated bus, but had to take his seat on another bus at the end of the convoy, said Suparna.

Now, all I want that the Government of India should take revenge at the earliest. Many have lost their sons, husbands and brothers in such mindless terrorist acts, for which a badla is a must, Suparna screamed with visible anger and worry on her face. Suparna informed that Bablu has been in the CRPF for the past 14 years and was posted at Nalbari before he was transferred to Kashmir. Bablu and Suparna have two children and the sepoy had visited home in October last year.
