Nalbari school students take pledge of Fit India Movement

NALBARI, Aug 31 - Particulars of the Fit India Movement were discussed by the students of Nalbari district, who took the pledge of maintaining physical health on the occasion of launching the movement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

Around 1.35 lakh students right from primary to higher secondary level of the district took the pledge of good health for a better society. In some schools, the authority made arrangements of TV and mobile phones to show the live programme of the Prime Minister launching the Fit India Movement in New Delhi.

At Bijulighat MV School, the CRCC of 94 (4) Upper Barbhag cluster organised the programme elaborately. Prior to the speech of the Prime Minister, the Headmaster of the school Kanak Deka demonstrated the physical exercises among the students.

Thereafter, CRCC Ramen Kalita discussed details about the celebration of National Sports Day and the Fit India Movement programme. The students of the school took the oath of good health which was read out by assistant teacher Munindra Patowary. The Dakshin Ulabari LP School and Ulabari Paschim Nakheti Millon ME School jointly organised the programme where assistant teacher Madan Baishya and Headmaster Mukunda Das spoke about the programme.

The other schools of the district also organised the programme and took oath of the Fit India Movement.
