TIHU, Dec 6 - The laikhuta of the 42nd Nalbari district Srimanta Sankar Sangha annual convention and the 21st annual conference of Krishna Surjya Anchalik committee to be held at Bhabakanta Pathak Kshetra of Bali High School, Sialmari playground under Tihu subdivision on January 17, 18 and 19 was formally installed recently by Anil Ch Das, president, Nalbari district committee.
On the occasion, the open meeting chaired by Anil Ch Das, was inaugurated by Gobinda Medhi, secretary, Nalbari district committee. Several office bearers of the State, district and anchalik committees of Srimanta Sankar Sangha like Dr Durlav Pathak, Chanakya Charan Kalita, Arabinda Das, Baikuntha Kalita, Keshab Mohan Kalita, Aswini Kr Goswami, Urmila Pathak and many others graced the event as guests of honour and delivered thought-provoking lectures highlighting the tremendous contributions of Srimanta Sankaradeva. At the beginning, Sanjoy Kalita, president of the reception committee delivered the welcome address.
To host this mega event, a strong reception committee, along with 14 sub-committees, have been formed with Sanjoy Kalita as president, Chanakya Charan Kalita as working president, Naren Haloi, Damodar Talukdar, Chandi Charan Deka, Girindra Pathak, Jitendra Nath Mazumdar and Ganeswar Barman as vice presidents, Prabin Deka as general Secretary, Atul Pathak, Hemanta Haloi, Lohit Kalita, Dipak Deka and Jyotish Deka as assistant secretaries.
