Nalbari civil hospital to install bio-digester system

NALBARI, Oct 11 - The Nalbari district administration has decided to install a bio-digester system at Nalbari Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital to generate cooking gas from the liquid wastes of the hospital.

Taking to this correspondent, Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari, Dr Om Prakash said that for this purpose the administration installed six large tanks at the hospital campus and the processing will start shortly. He further said the private hospital of the district must have such bio-digester system to process their liquid wastes and to keep the campus pollution free.

Dr Om Prakash stated that the Nalbari Civil Hospital has started a system of wastes separation for its easy disposal. Referring to the ongoing Swacha Bharat Abhijan the Deputy Commissioner said that during last one year the Nalbari district administration constructed 22,000 latrine sheds. In this regard the Ghoga gaon panchayat under Mukalmua development block has been adjudged as the first village of the district which has pacca latrine of each household. Disclosing it the Deputy Commissioner further added that the No 36 gaon panchayat under the Madhupur development block is going to fulfil the target of pacca latrine of each households. The Madhupur development block which has six gaon panchayats is going to be the first development block in the district with a latrine shed in each households. While the BPL families will get the latrine sheds from the government in free of cost the APL families will be motivated to construct the latrine at their own cost.
