GUWAHATI, Sept 6 - Ananya Sritam Nanda of Odisha has been adjudged the winner of the Indian Idol Junior 2 while Assam�s Nahid Afrin was declared the runners-up in the singing contest, the finale of which was held today.
Nahid not winning the title came as a surprise to many as the talented singer from Biswanath Chariali was seen as the possible winner in the popular show aired in Sony TV.
Nahid, during the course of the singing contest, received positive reviews both from the judges and the guests, with actor Sonakshi (one of the judges) even offering Nahid a singing offer for her upcoming movie.
Chennai�s Nityashree Venkataraman was adjudged the second runners-up in the grand finale which was attended by a number of celebrities from Bollywood.
Winners of the contest are announced on the basis of SMS votes and scores given by the judges, which included music directors like Vishal Dadhlani, Salim Merchant and actor Sonakshi Sinha.
