Nagaon outplay Silchar

GUWAHATI, March 13 � Nagaon trounced Silchar by nine wickets in the Senior Inter District (Elite Group) Cricket Tournament for the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy. On the second day of the three-day semifinal league match at the Barsapara stadium here today, requiring a small total of 56 for outright victory in the second innings, Nagaon struck the required runs in 13.1 overs losing one wicket.

Nagaon took a 55-run first innings lead as in reply to Silchar�s 134, Nagaon scored 191 in the first innings. In the second innings, Silchar were all out for 112.

Dibrugarh stage fightback: At the NF Railway Stadium Maligaon today, after conceding a 28-run first innings lead, Dibrugarh scored 138 for the loss of seven wickets in the second innings against Guwahati. In reply to Dibrugarh�s first innings total of 164, Guwahati, overnight 99 for five, gathered 192. Now Dibrugarh have a 110-run lead with three second innings wickets in hand.
