Nagaon hogs limelight again

NAGAON, June 2 - Nagaon has hogged the limelight again as both the first rank holders in the Arts and Science streams are from Ramanujan Junior College here.

While Rupshikha Kalita topped the merit list in the Arts stream, Ankurjyoti Bora topped the merit list in the Science stream.

Neeloofar Hussain and Rajashree Boruah of the Ramanujan Junior College bagged the 5th and 6th positions in the Arts stream, respectively.

The second position in Arts stream was bagged by Animesh Bhagawati of Kaki Junior College. Sheikh Md Shakeel Hassan of Concept Junior College bagged the 5th position in the Science stream.

Meanwhile, Priti Bora of Dronacharya Junior College got the 8th position in the Arts stream. In the Commerce stream, the 3rd position was secured by Puja Agarawala of Lanka Junior College and the 8th position was bagged by Arindom Mudoi of Jnanpith Academy here.

It is worth mentioning here that the education expenses of Ankurjyoti, who topped in the Science stream, were borne by Dilip Bora, the head of the Ramanujan Junior College, as the student belongs to an economically-backward family.
