Nagaon dist excels in HSLC exam with 8 toppers

NAGAON, May 15 - Altogether eight students from Nagaon district secured ranks, showing a remarkable performance in the HSLC exam, 2019.

Out of the eight rank holders, two students each are from Christ Jyoti School, Nagaon and Vidya Niketon, Puranigudam and one each from Renaissance HS School, Bebejia Arya Jatiya Vidyalaya, Nonoi HS School and Don Bosco, Hojai.

Afreen Ahmed and Irfan Hague of Christjyoti School of Nagaon bagged third and ninth positions respectively, while Ankur Raj Kashyap and Mintu Gayan of Vidya Niketon, Puranigudam bagged seventh and 10th ranks. Similarly, Nishita Khataniar of Bebejia Arya Jatiya Vidyalaya, Ishaan Bhuyan of Renaissance HS School, Deep Saikia of Nonoi HS school shared the 8th rank and Sagnik Bonik of Don Bosco, Hojai bagged the 10th position.

Interacting with this correspondent, Afreen, who is the daughter of Nasreen Ahmed and Mofidul Ahmed of South Haiborgaon, said patience and perseverance is the key to success. Afreen is also an avid reader of different story books. She wants to become a physician.

On the other hand, the 7th rank holder, Ankur Raj Kashyap of Vidya Niketon, Puranigudam, who is the son of Rajib Bora and Junti Bora of Kashorigaon, wants to pursue Fine Arts. �We had a proper academic atmosphere in the school campus which steered us in achieving this success,� Ankur claimed.

Meanwhile, the 8th rank holder Nishita Khataniar of Babejia Arya Jatiya Vidyalaya, has a plan to study in HS Science stream. Similarly, Deep Saikia of Nonoi HS School wants to become an engineer.

Expressing satisfaction with the results of the students, Purnananda Bhuyan, the president of the school management committee of Purananigudam Vidya Niketon said that the institute has been performing well since its inception, but this year�s results are extraordinary. �Our teachers deserve the credit because this has been possible by dint of their hard work, coupled with creating a proper academic ambience,� an elated Bhuyan claimed. In this context, he said that the entire people of Puranigudam have extended their help to make the school attain this position.

It may be mentioned that Puranigudam Vidya Niketon has attained cent per cent results, with 19 students passing with distinction.

Meanwhile, the teachers of Don Bosco, Hojai have expressed satisfaction with the result of Sagnik Bonik, who stood 10th in HSLC exam.
