Nagaland scribe passes away

DIMAPUR, June 11 - Senior journalist based in Kohima, Xavier Rutsa passed away in the wee hours of Monday. He was Kohima correspondent of The Times of India and also president of Kohima Press Club, reports Newmai News.

Media fraternity under the aegis of Nagaland Press Association (NPA) held a condolence service for late Xavier Rutsa in Dimapur this afternoon. A two-minute silence was also observed by the journalists.

PTI adds: Rutsa died of heart attack while he was returning home from a meeting today, his family said. He was 42.

Rutsa suffered a stroke and collapsed while returning home from a meeting at around 12.30 am. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead, the family said.
