Nagaland Scouts & Guides receives Awards

DIMAPUR, June 11 - Nagaland Governor PB Acharya on Thursday awarded Rajya Puraskar Award 2016 to 56 Scouts and 61 Guides at Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

The Award is also known as Governor�s Award which is the highest honour at the State level given to Scouts and Guides in recognition of their service to mankind through Scouts and Guides movements worldwide.

The Governor, who is also Chief Patron of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides (NSBSG), congratulated all the awardees for having achieved the highest honour at the State level and sincerely hoped that their silent contribution in uplifting the society will not go unheard and definitely be rewarded.

He also expressed happiness that 12 Guide captains and three Scout masters from Nagaland have qualified for the highest training of Scout Master & Guide Captain, the Himalaya Woodbadge in 2015.

The Governor said the guiding motto of �Duty to God, Duty to others and Duty to self�� can help establish a more dynamic society in Nagaland as we require leadership of the youth in the State today. On the occasion, Acharya reminded of the great saying �the service to man is service to God��, saying that this should be the guiding principle for everyone.
