KOHIMA, April 21 - Nagaland Home Minister Y Patton today said the State Government was committed to bring about peace and development and urged upon the civil servants to contribute their best towards fulfillment of these goals.
Nagaland has one of the highest ratio of government servants, but many of them were not engaged in productive works, Patton said while addressing the Civil Services Day celebration here. Patton therefore called upon the members of Civil Service to rededicate and recommit themselves to the service of the people, to which cause, they had committed themselves on joining the service.
He said that the Day should also provide an opportunity for introspection and for chalking out future strategies to deal with new and emerging challenges posed by the changing times. PTI
