Nagaland Lokayukta to take oath on February 22

DIMAPUR, Feb 20 - Former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Uma Nath Singh, will take oath as the first Lokayukta of Nagaland at Raj Bhavan, in Kohima on February 22.

A Raj Bhavan release on Wednesday said Governor PB Acharya will administer the oath of office to Justice Singh at 6.30 pm. Acharya appointed Justice Singh as the Lokayukta of the State on February 1.

Justice Singh will hold office for a period of five years from the day he takes charge or till he attains the age of 70, whichever is earlier.
