Nagaland celebrates anniversary of NDA Govt

DIMAPUR, June 3 - The Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) Government celebrated completion of two years of rule by NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the Multipurpose Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima yesterday.

Union Minister for Law & Justice D Sadananda Gowda, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Nihalchand Meghwal and BJP National Vice President Vinay Sahasrabudhe attended the celebration besides Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang and a host of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

In his address, Sadananda highlighted the achievements of NDA Government during the last two years. He also said the NDA Government has taken the initiative to bring transparency, financial accountability and financial inclusion, social security among others. The Union Minister mentioned that the measures such as bringing back black money stashed in foreign banks, direct transfer of financial benefits to the bank accounts of the people and affordable insurance to the poorest citizens, etc., were introduced during the last two years.

Sahasrabudhe claimed that no scandal or corruption case was found against any Minister in the two years rule of the NDA Government.

Chief Minister Zeliang said the NDA Government has introduced many path-breaking reforms during the two-year rule such as the introduction of Make in India, Skill India, Digital India, Swachh Bharat, etc. He expressed hope that the BJP and its NDA allies in the North East would work out a strategy of cooperation and adjustment through the newly formed North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).

Taking note of the Framework Agreement of 2015, Zeliang lauded the Prime Minister for sincerely taking bold and positive steps to resolve the Naga political issue through peaceful means.
