DIMAPUR, Nov 11 � In view of the firm directive of the Supreme Court for settlement of the Assam-Nagaland border issue and the sincere effort of the Union Home Ministry in this regard, officials of the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) met the Chief Minister at his private residence today and urged him to react appropriately, efficiently and on time.
Appraising the view on the Nagaland-Assam border settlement on behalf of the Nagas of Nagaland, the NTC submitted a representation to the State government in this regard.
The Chief Minister, on his part, requested the NTC to provide available documents and suggest means to effectively work out people-to-people talks on the border issue. This was stated in a release issued by the NTC media cell.
