KOHIMA, Nov 10 � Apex tribal bodies � Naga Hoho and Ahom Royal Society � have resolved to strengthen their relationship as neighbouring communities and to maintain peaceful cordial ties.
The resolution was made during a consultative meeting of the two bodies held on November 8 at Dimapur, stated a release issued by Naga Hoho media cell here today.
The Naga Hoho stated that in the meeting, both the organisations had a thorough discussion on the traditional ties, folklore and recorded history between Nagas and Ahoms and also the historical matrimonial alliance between the two communities. � PTI
Heroin seized
Aizawl, Nov 10 � Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department�s Anti Narcotics Squad seized 37.5 grams of heroin here, Peter Zohmingthanga, department officials said today.
The official said that two women, both Myanmarese nationals were arrested in this connection during the raid on Saturday night.
The arrested women, both from Tahan in Myanmar, said that they smuggled the contraband from Tahan to be sold in Aizawl, he said.
The accused were booked under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he added. � PTI
