Nabin Ch Tamuly school cricket

GUWAHATI, April 6 � Rashtrabhasa Prabhakar High School and Jr Dustain Academy English School won today�s matches of the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre organised Nabin Chandra Tamuly Inter School Cricket Tournament.

In the first match at the Nehru Stadium here, Rashtrabhasa Prabhakar defeated Faculty Higher Secondary School by 17 runs while in the second encounter Jr Dustain HS outplayed Royal Global School by four wickets.

Faculty HSS were restricted to 100 for six while chasing Rashtrabhasa�s 117 for three in the 15-over match. The second match was close one as Royal Global could score 90 for nine in 20 overs and the Dustain batsmen hit the winning run with two balls to spare losing six wickets.

Semifinals preponed: The semifinal matches of the championship, which were scheduled to be played on April 13, have been preponed a day and now will be played on April 12. The final is slated for April 14.

Brief scores: Rashtrabhasa 117/3 (Gangadhar Jha 35, Subham Das 32, Manish Kumar 31). Faculty 100/6 (Abhishek Agasti 19, Kaushik Pathak 18, Rahul Chaubey 2/22).

Royal Global 90 (Priyangshu Changkakoti 34, Sagar Kr Sha 2/11, Hridik Daimary 2/17, Bipul Kr Singh 2/20). Jr Dustaim 91/6 (Hridik Daimary 33, Sagar Kr Sha 30, Priyangshu Changkakoti 2/19, Rishabh Goenka 2/19).
