TEZPUR, May 26 - The two jehadis nabbed by the Army from the Parmaiguli area under the Mahabhairab Police Outpost here yesterday, were handed over to the police this morning. It has been confirmed that the duo are members of a Muslim fundamentalist group, Jamat-ul-Muzahiddin, Assam, that has been carrying out subversive activities in the greater Pachmile area since the last several years.
Army sources informed this correspondent that following grilling of a jehadi, Imran Hussain, the Army conducted a search operation at his residence and recovered two guns, five mobile phones having contact numbers with militants based in a foreign country, one Tablet and letterheads with the heading, �Jamat-ul-Muzahiddin, Assam, Sonitpur district committee.�
Various organisations here hailed the successful operation of the Indian Army.
