Myanmar air force team visits Jorhat IAF station

GUWAHATI, May 28 - A team of 14 officers and personnel of Myanmar Air Force concluded a two-day visit to the Indian Air Force (IAF) Station at Jorhat today, as a defence cooperation plan between both the countries.

The team visited various sections and formations in the station.

�The aim of the visit was to understand the ethos of the Indian Air Force and share the work culture of each other. The team observed the work culture of the IAF with keen interest. They were impressed at the high standards of professionalism displayed by the IAF,� said Defence spokesman Lt Col Harsh Wardhan Pande.

Air Commodore SK Verma, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jorhat, interacted with the team. Senior officers of the station were also present during the interaction.

Both sides appreciated the need for increased cooperation between the air forces of neighbouring nations.
