I am looking forward to getting back to play in India again. I can close my eyes and visualise everything the culture, the art, the smiling and the ever helping people. For me the Yonex Sunrise Indian Open stays a bit special, simply because its played in this lovely country Incredible India as they say. I just cant wait to get back and do my best in the Tournament.

History of sports will teach you about the bonding between a certain player and her/his fascination for a certain place or country. But have you ever thought about what facilitates the bonding?

Well, its the love of the people - the spectators that makes a player feel special and that applies across all sports. Doesnt it? I like play in India a lot and it has got to do a lot about my fans.

I really appreciate their support while Im on court. To me, it speaks about the globalisation of badminton, it speaks about the passion for the sports in India. A big Thank You to all my fans, and I reiterate, that I am waiting to land again in the beautiful country.

My preparations for India Open has been good. I am fit, especially after the injury which I sustained in the All England Championship. But I have recovered and ready to give my best, and most importantly enjoy myself on the court. TCM
