Muster Roll employees decry apathetic attitude

By Correspondent

HAFLONG, July 13 - Though there has been a standing government order to regularise the service of muster roll employees in each and every department, but at least six work charge employees of the Creamery scheme, Umrangso are yet to be regularised for reasons best known to the officers concerned, alleged the aggrieved muster roll employees.

The Creamery scheme, Umrangso established long back had gained name and fame not only in the district but also in the State as it was producing very good quality of cream, ghee, curd etc., but of late the scheme was forced to become almost defunct due to indifferent attitude of the authority concerned.

The employees also alleged that the Additional Director AH & Veterinary has recruited several new employees perhaps misleading the Council as well as the high officials leaving the existing MR employees although these MR employees are working for the last 28 years. They also alleged that more than two-three persons have retired without their services being regularised only due to indifferent attitude of the present Additional Director AH & Veterinary. They also brought serious allegation that the present Additional Director has curtailed the yearly budget of the Creamery scheme Umrangso to kill this project.

Parasanna Pator, one among the eight Muster Roll employees of the Umrangso Creamery scheme while expressing his anger over the unjustified and discriminative attitude of the Additional Director, AH & Veterinary department towards the Muster Roll employees said that they had also approached the court but the officials concerned recruited new employees instead of regularising the existing MR employees.
