Musical concert at Jyoti Chitraban to mark Holi

GUWAHATI, March 22 - Jyoti Chitraban marked the festival of Holi on March 21 with a musical concert ranging from traditional Holi Sangeet to modern Electronic Dance Music (EDM) showcasing festivities and splashing of colours in the presence of stalwarts of the Assamese film industry.

The event was attended by Manju Borah, Hemanta Kumar Das, Munna Ahmed, Dr Jahanara Begum, Bhupen Kaman, Monjul Boruah, Deep Choudhury, Kangkan Deka, Jhulan Krishna Mahanta, Gargee Mahanta, Deepak Kumar Ray, Kishore Sharma, Amitabh Rajkhowa, Mala Goswami, Narayan Shil, Rajiv Kro, Prerana Barbarooah, Jun Moni Devi Khound, Gitanjali A Nayar, Kabita Deka, Junu Das Saikia, Amardip Gogoi, Debajit Gayan and many other stalwarts of the Assamese film industry.

Along with the staff of Jyoti Chitraban, the students and faculty of the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute also took an active part in the event.

The event started with traditional folk Holi Sangeet followed by live EDM music concert by pioneering Assamese EDM expert and archive head of Jyoti Chitraban, Axl Hazarika.

Jyoti Chitraban Chairman Pabitra Margherita and Secretary Monita Borgohain thanked all the visitors for making the event a grand success and extended Holi greetings to all.
