GUWAHATI, May 8 - Munin Nobis has been re-elected as the president of the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA). In the biennial elections of the organisation held at its office here today, along with the annual general meeting, Nobis (53) defeated Dilip Sankar Saikia (28) in a straight contest.
Nabab Ali (63), Amarendra Nath (57) were elected as vice presidents (general) while the third candidate Ranjan Medhi (28) had to face defeat. For the vice president post of educational institutions, Kartik Phukan (60) beat Dr Rukmini Bora (16).
Ranjit Sarma won a tough contest for the post of cricket secretary as he beat Mukut Kalita by one vote. Sarma got 40 votes against Kalita�s 39. Bhola Boro was re-elected as general secretary unopposed.
