GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - Helped by a strokeful 243 off 209 balls off the blade of Surya Kumar Yadav Mumbai smacked mammoth 457 in the stipulated 90 overs on the opening day of the two-day Buchi Babu Invitational Cricket Tournament against Assam.
Batting first at the IC Gurunanak, Chennai today, Mumbai batsmen made merry of the Assam bowling as apart from Surya Kumar, Shridep Mangela 91 off 198 balls and Nikhil Patil 56 off 68 balls demonstrated good batting show in their innings.
Surya Kumar�s knock was studded with 18 boundaries and 14 over boundaries. Shridep hit six boundaries and one six.
Assam will bat tomorrow.
