GUWAHATI, Aug 23 - Mumbai handed a 179-run drubbing to Assam in the Buchi Babu Invitational Cricket Tournament, organised by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
On the final day of the two-day encounter at the IC Gurunanak, Chennai today, in reply to Mumbai�s mammoth 457 for five, Assam were all out for 278 in 73.3 overs of the 90-over clash. Amit Varma, 84 off 135 balls, 4x6, 6x3 and Tarjinder Singh, 58 off 122 balls, 4x5, 6x1 were the leading scorers for Assam.
