TIHU, Sept 13 - The Chakradhar Deka Memorial Football Championship organised by the Mukalmua Anchalik Krira Santha will start on September 16 at the Desabhakta Maydan in Mukalmua.
This year 16 teams from the Northeast have confirmed their entries in this tournament. Narayan Deka, president, Mukalmua Anchalik Krira Santha and MLA of Barkhetri LAC stated in a press release. The champion and runners-up teams will get Rs 1 Lakh and Rs 75,000 respectively as prize-money.
On the other hand, the new stadium, constructed with NREGA scheme will be inaugurated by Cultural Minister Naba Kumar Doley and Nalbari MLA Ashok Sarma on September 16.
